Behind the Scenes
The idea stemmed from the many complaints my new friends had.
Contractors showing up only to leave and never be seen again,
charging extremely high prices for the simplest of tasks,
and my personal pet peeve, not returning phone calls.
Had I run my business like this back in Toronto, I would have never made a dime.
I am bringing the East Coast hustle and friendly Canadian spirit to the Coachella Valley
I am excited to keep doing what I love, and to help out my new community!
Leaving behind everything we knew, and with just the necessities
(we all have a different opinion of what's essential)
we set out for our new life in the Coachella Valley.

Erick's background in jewelry, lead him to start ESCAPE, a luxury lifestyle jewelry brand. Now, he sails the open seas and manages our boutiques on Princess Cruise Lines.
I wanted to continue my background in Design/Build and Real Estate, but needed to wait until I was able to work here in California.
The next several months allowed me to explore the Coachella Valley. It felt like being home from the beginning, only without snow. I was able to see how my decades of expertise could be utilized and set to work on building At Cost Handyman.
